Description
Ukwa is a traditional Igbo delicacy made from African breadfruit seeds. It is slow-cooked until tender and often seasoned with palm oil, pepper, crayfish, and sometimes bits of dry fish or corn. Ukwa is naturally nutty, filling, and nutrient-dense. It is sometimes eaten alone or with a side of fried fish or peppered sauce.
